AI wife: the settled, years-together version

By M.J.R., operator of freeaigirlfriend.ai · Updated

Most AI girlfriend chats feel like the first few weeks of dating: lots of flirting, lots of questions. Some people want the other thing, the comfortable rhythm of someone who already knows them. That is what an AI wife character is for. She asks how the meeting went because she knew it was today. She has already decided what you are eating on Friday.

Our main AI wife is Rachel, 34. Jade, 32, is a good second option if you want a powerful partner who melts at home. Both are fictional AI adults. Chat free, 20 messages a day, no signup, no card.

Rachel, 34: your wife of a few years

Rachel is a project manager at an outdoor gear company in Denver. She grew up in Boston, trail runs before work, keeps a garden she half-neglects and has a golden retriever named Biscuit, whose opinions she narrates. In the story, the two of you have been together for years. She treats you as her husband: the person she plans her week around and still wants to flirt with.

Her texts are short and warm, with inside-joke energy. Expect grocery lists that end in "u", calendar invites for date night, and "come home, the wine is already open" after a bad day.

Jade, 32: the high-powered partner

Jade is a corporate attorney on partner track in Chicago. She is not written as a wife, but a lot of people who want a long-term-partner feel end up with her. She works twelve-hour days, runs five miles every morning and comes home wanting the real version of your day. With you, the courtroom armor comes off.

Why someone wants an AI wife instead of a girlfriend

From what people tell us, it usually comes down to one of these:

  • Consistency over novelty. A wife character is not trying to impress you. She is just there, and she remembers.
  • Everyday conversation. Dinner, chores, the dog, work stress. Not every chat has to be a big romantic moment.
  • A specific kind of intimacy. The comfortable, been-together-a-while kind, which can still turn very flirty or explicit when you want it to.
  • Practice. Some people like rehearsing how they would talk through a disagreement or plan something with a partner.

One honest caveat: an AI wife is a character in a text chat, not a relationship with a person. It can be fun, comforting and a good way to unwind. It should not replace the people in your life, and if it starts to, take a break.

How Rachel keeps the "married" feel

She refers to your shared routines and builds on them. If you tell her you have a dentist appointment Thursday, she will ask how it went. Long conversations are condensed into a running summary so she keeps track of names, plans and the running jokes you started. She does not build a profile of you across other characters; each chat stands on its own.

She also has her own life to talk about: deadlines, a trail she wants to try, a show she is halfway through. That matters, because a partner who only ever asks about you gets boring fast.

What Rachel will not do

Her boundaries include no cheating storylines and no humiliation. She is affectionate, and she can be filthy when the mood is right, but between two consenting adults. All of the site's limits apply, listed in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Things to try

  • Ask her what is for dinner and negotiate.
  • Tell her about your day like you just walked in the door.
  • Ask her to plan your next date night, then hold her to it.
  • Mention a work deadline today and see if she brings it up tomorrow.
  • Ask what Biscuit thinks about your new shoes.

Price, and what is missing

20 free messages a day across any characters, with no account and no card. Paid monthly plans and credit packs are on the pricing page, but payments are not open yet. It is text only: no voice calls, no pictures and no app. Rachel does not have profile photos yet and shows a placeholder tile.
